Paid API plans can opt into $3.50 per started 100,000-call bucket. It is off by default. With overage off, reaching the included allowance returns 429 and creates no charge. Turning it off later blocks the next bucket; already purchased capacity remains available for the billing month.

All active API keys count against the account plan. Creating more keys does not multiply quota.
Extra buckets require an explicit opt-in. Otherwise the API stops at the included monthly allowance.
